Historic Sidecar Racers - Promotional Sponsor Portrait Photoshoot

Michelle and Julie are two badass local sidecar racers who compete in the historic P3 class on their hand built Norton Atlas P3 sidecar. I had previously shot this Norton Sidecar for Michelle and husband Tim few years before and was excited when Michelle contacted me again late last year for another shoot.

Below are some of my favourite shots from this shoot. Head over to the Classic Wheels & Spokes, Otway Hydroblasting & Metal Works  page to check out Tim and Michelles latest work. Im looking forward to shooting 2 more of their bike builds later this month.

If you or your team are looking for some promotional photographs for yourself or your sponsors get in touch today and let’s chat about making it happen.

Covid 19 Lockdown Photoshoot

2016 Yamaha R1 Photoshoot Melbourne

During the ongoing Covid 19 lockdown restrictions i got quite desperate to ride my bike and also take photos, I decided to take matters into my own hands and setup a quick photoshoot with my 2016 Yamaha R1. This was also good chance to test out the new Godox AD360 Flash’s i had purchased just before the lockdown. The following photos were achieved during the day in my driveway using 2x Godox AD360 and 1x Godox AD200 flash units. The thing i love about these modern flash units is the Hi Speed sync function which allows me to shoot at F2.8 on my 200mm lens which really lets me seperate the subject from the background. I’m looking forward to spending more time getting to know this Godox flash system, so far i’m very impressed.

Restored Classic Ducati Scrambler

This beautifully restored 250cc classic Ducati Scrambler was photographed recently for the April Issue of Retrobike Magazine. The current owner bought the bike over the internet from Northern Italy and had it shipped all the way to the other side of the world here in Australia. A great looking restored retro bike that would be a whole lot of fun on the streets.

Husqvana Nuda 900R Cafe Racer - Magazine Photo Shoot

JOSH’S CUSTOM HUSQVANA NUDA 900R CAFE RACER

Back on a warm January afternoon in 2019 i had the pleasure of shooting Josh’s custom Husqvarna Nuda 900R Cafe Racer for the April issue of Retrobike Magazine.

After a small accident and a generous insurance payout Josh decided to do something different with his already very rare Nuda. He decided to convert it into a modern Cafe Racer with a custom kit made specifically for the bike by a German parts specialist called LSL. The bikes suspension and tuning was also been enhanced by the experts at Race Center. Theres a lot more to the story of this bike which can be found in its magazine feature but for now enjoy the photos.

These images were featured in the April 2019 Issue of Retro Bike Magazine.

BMW R80 G/S Feature for Motorcycle Trader Magazine

A very cold wet & day was spent at the track back in September capturing images for the October issue of Motorcycle Trader Magazine. This shoot was broken into two parts. Part 1 was to capture images for an editorial documenting a returning rider participating in a riders training course at Broadford State Motorcycle Complex. Magazine editor Chris took park in the rider training on track but he also required images for the feature on his 1986 BMW R80 G/S Paris Dakar and its upgraded suspension. Seeing as though it was a wet and miserable September day we decided to shoot the bike in its natural habitat, off road. Lucky for us the grounds of the Broadford State Motorcycle complex also works as the perfect terrain for an adventure bike shoot.

Keen to Follow the adventures of Chris and his immaculate R80 ? Check him out HERE or in the latest issue of Motorcycle Trader Magazine

21 Years of the Yamaha R1

1998 - 2015 Yamaha R1 - Photoshoot

A few years ago private collector and club racer, Richard, contacted me to shoot his collection of Yamaha R1’s. Well fast forward 2 years after that shoot and he has expanded and updated his Yamaha collection. What we have here is his tribute to the original 1998 R1. And what better way to do that than an original 1998 Yamaha R1 and a 2015 R1M with custom paint and graphics in the 1998 R1 colour scheme. We also have his 2015 R1 Race Bike looking very different to the way it did back in 2017.

The images that follow are my tribute to these machines and one of my all time favourite motorcycle manufactures.
