Pagani Automobili Museum- Museo Horacio Pagani
This small modern museum sits right next door to the small boutique Pagani factory where these automotive works of art are hand built. There is no other supercar manufacturer that excites or moves me as much as Pagani. The vehicles are simply breathtaking, also on display in the museum are many of Haracio Pagani’s early creations along with the history of the company and story of his journey from aspiring car designer to a legend in the automotive world. A truely inspirational man and one that makes this small company so special to me.
It’s always a challenge shooting clean images at a museum with lots of people and busy backgrounds distracting from the cars along with the added challenge of mixed spotty lighting. Not my finest photographic work but i thought it was still worth sharing as Horacio’s creations are just too beautiful to sit on a hard drive lost forever.

Museo Storico Alfa Romeo
A visit to the recently renovated Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese, Italy. A beautifully designed building showing off the rich history of this iconic brand through the ages. These are some of my favourite images from my visit last August.

Bathurst Winning Jaguar XJ-S & TWR Jaguar XJR-S
Recently had the chance to shoot these two very special Jaguars for a private client. On the left we have the Spa and Bathurst Race Winning Tom Walkinshaw Racing Jaguar XJ-S. This car has a rich race history across the globe and is currently owned, raced and maintained by Jaguar specialist Mike Roddy. On the right is rare hand built 1993 Walkinshaw XJR-S V12 road car in original condition with only 7,400kms on the clock, the car was brought into the country from Japan in 2019. We were fortunate enough to have an hour on track access at Sandown Racetrack to take these shots.

BMW R80 G/S Feature for Motorcycle Trader Magazine
A very cold wet & day was spent at the track back in September capturing images for the October issue of Motorcycle Trader Magazine. This shoot was broken into two parts. Part 1 was to capture images for an editorial documenting a returning rider participating in a riders training course at Broadford State Motorcycle Complex. Magazine editor Chris took park in the rider training on track but he also required images for the feature on his 1986 BMW R80 G/S Paris Dakar and its upgraded suspension. Seeing as though it was a wet and miserable September day we decided to shoot the bike in its natural habitat, off road. Lucky for us the grounds of the Broadford State Motorcycle complex also works as the perfect terrain for an adventure bike shoot.
Keen to Follow the adventures of Chris and his immaculate R80 ? Check him out HERE or in the latest issue of Motorcycle Trader Magazine
Front Cover Feature for Motorcycle Trader Magazine Issue 350
In September my photos were used for the front cover of Australian Publication Motorcycle Trader Magazine. Featuring some shots from my previous shoot with Richards Fleet of R1’s along with some new photos that were taken just for the magazine feature. Very glad that we could get Richards R1s featured in and immortalised in print as I have learned he has recently sold the 1998 Model.

2019 Historic Sandown - Race Meet Coverage
Tried my hand at capturing a bit of a behind the scenes look at the 2019 Victorian Historic Racing Register Sandown race meeting. These images were captured from late on Fridays practice from in an around the pit area and garages. What an amazing eclectic collection of old race cars from several different era’s and classes, It was great to get up close with the cars and the characters that keep them on track.
Prints available upon request.

Lamborghini Murciélago R-GT - Photoshoot with a priceless Race-Car
Getting up close and personal with a very special race car
Recently I had the chance to shoot this Lamborghini, and not just any regular old run of the mill raging bull, this is the Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT GT1 ( Chassis # 5 of only 9 ever made). A purpose built race car built by Reiter Engineering in conjunction with Lamborghini to compere at LeMans. There are only a handful of parts that are shared with the road going supercar. Somehow this example found its way over here to Melbourne, Australia and somehow i had the good fortune to shoot it. This particular example was restored to its former 2004 American Le Mans Series glory by Jordan Roddy from Bespoke Motorcars in record time ( think serval weeks, not several months) and shipped over to the US just in time for its unveiling at the Monterey Car week back in August. Unfortunately this car will live the rest of its life in another country as 2 days after these photos were taken the car was sitting inside a shipping container bound for the US. Many thanks to Jordan and Vito from Polo Bodyworks for the opportunity to shoot this spectacular vehicle.
How were these images captured?
Shooting this scene was quite a challenge, although it's a beautifully presented machine the messy background and dull light/ shadow was not doing any favours in making the car stand out.
Unfortunately being a race car with no ground clearance it could not be moved more than a few meters. The location was the small industrial estate carpark where this Le Mans race-car was restored by @bespokemotorcars. To make the images a little more interesting i wanted to try something different. I took multiple exposures of the car with the Godox AD600 studio flash making sure to highlight certain areas.
The fog and fire looking smoke were produced by a modified insect fogger filled with diesel which created this haze. For the fire look i placed a Godox AD200 flash with a red gel behind the smoke to illuminate the plumes of fog/haze moving slowly from the front to the back of the car. Although it took a long time in post processing to layer all of these exposures to create the following images i'm very happy with the end result. I could not of achieved these images on the day without the help and expert advice from Ben Galli who i cant thank enough.

BMW Motorrad Australia - Stunt Rider Photoshoot
Earlier this year I headed down to a local stunt spot with factory sponsored BMW Stunt Rider ‘Lukey Luke’. Luke recently signed on with BMW Motorrad as their Stunt Rider and brand ambassador a first of their kind in Australia. This was one of the first shakedown runs with his newly custom built BMW F800 stunt bike. Below are a few of my favourite captures from the morning.
