Meguiar's MotorEx 2019

MotorEx is Australia’s largest and most one of its prestigious car show. I headed down to the Melbourne Showgrounds back in May for a look at this special event. On display was everything from 6 second drag cars, half million dollar show cars, JDM classics, rusty hot rods, American and Australian muscle and a sprinkling of drift pigs in action. With over 400 cars on display and hundreds of exhibitors it was quite the spectacle.

It’s always tough work trying to get any decent photos at a car show as there are so many people and distractions in front of the cars so i didn’t really bother. I did manage to snap a few shots on the day, below you can view my favourites.

Broadford Bike Bonanza 2019

The Shannons Insurance Broadford Bike Bonanza is an annual bike weekend held at the Broadford State Motorcycle Complex for all bikes Pre 1993. This years event was held over the easter long weekend. After many years of saying i would go I finally went and was not disappointed. What an eclectic mix of bikes on display across MX track, Road Circuit, trials, enduro and the flat track speedway. Here is just a small sample of what i captured during the few hours i was there. It’s been a very dry Australian summer and I feel the pictures really represent that dusty, grassroots racing feel.

Theres really no words needed to describe this car other than its one of the best restorations i’ve ever seen. I struggle to believe the car came from the factory looking this good.

Citroen DS23 Pallas - Autumn Photoshoot

Getting up close and personal with this restored 1973 Citroen DS23

Autumn in Melbourne is a beautiful time of year, the afternoon light is golden and the trees turn a burnt orange. This was the perfect time to head just 1hr out of Melbourne to Mt Macedon for a private photoshoot with this restored Citroen DS23 Pallas Injection Electronique. The late afternoon sun mixed with the smoke in the air to create some of the most magical lighting i have witnessed all year. This particular restoration was carried out by the team at Triple R Luxury Car Hire in East Brunswick and the car performed flawlessly. Aprilia Australia Racers Day 2019

2019 Aprilia RSV4 Factory 1100 Launch at Phillip Island

Early in April i had the pleasure of not only riding my favourite brand of motorcycle around my favourite racetrack but also managed to capture some photos from the Australian debut of the new Aprilia RSV4 Factory 1100. What an absolute weapon this 217hp machine is and to be on track and see just how much faster it is compared to the old model was a treat.

I didn't get much time behind the lens as i was having too much fun on track so i have posted just a few of my favourite shots from the day. Aprilia have really knocked it out of the park with this bike and put on one of the best Track Days at the Island i have attended.
