Theres really no words needed to describe this car other than its one of the best restorations i’ve ever seen. I struggle to believe the car came from the factory looking this good.

Citroen DS23 Pallas - Autumn Photoshoot

Getting up close and personal with this restored 1973 Citroen DS23

Autumn in Melbourne is a beautiful time of year, the afternoon light is golden and the trees turn a burnt orange. This was the perfect time to head just 1hr out of Melbourne to Mt Macedon for a private photoshoot with this restored Citroen DS23 Pallas Injection Electronique. The late afternoon sun mixed with the smoke in the air to create some of the most magical lighting i have witnessed all year. This particular restoration was carried out by the team at Triple R Luxury Car Hire in East Brunswick and the car performed flawlessly. Aprilia Australia Racers Day 2019

2019 Aprilia RSV4 Factory 1100 Launch at Phillip Island

Early in April i had the pleasure of not only riding my favourite brand of motorcycle around my favourite racetrack but also managed to capture some photos from the Australian debut of the new Aprilia RSV4 Factory 1100. What an absolute weapon this 217hp machine is and to be on track and see just how much faster it is compared to the old model was a treat.

I didn't get much time behind the lens as i was having too much fun on track so i have posted just a few of my favourite shots from the day. Aprilia have really knocked it out of the park with this bike and put on one of the best Track Days at the Island i have attended.

Malvern Star Cycles Lifestyle and product Photoshoot

ON LOCATION COMMERCIAL Lifestyle photoshoot for Malvern Star

Ok so I’m a little late with getting this up on my blog but back in October 2017 Freestyle Photography was hired to shoot stills content for Australia’s oldest bicycle brand Malvern Star Cycles. Their parent company Sheppard Cycles are Australasia’s largest cycling company and distributor. Meeting the marketing team before the shoot we organised locations, riders and the products to be shot, in the end we set up this shoot on a really tight budget and nailed all we needed to with an early start before sunrise and a finish just before sunset. The shots created were used for the 2018 range of bikes for use in dealer catalogues, in store, the MalvernStar website and also their social media accounts. There was a wide range of bikes that all needed to be shot in a lifestyle/outside environment ranging from cycle cross and gravel bikes, city commuters, a Womens E-Bike prototype, heritage ladies bikes and a few children’s bikes. Working with the team was great and we came away with some fantastic images for the client.

Opposite Lock 4WD - Ford Ranger Studio Photoshoot

Studio Photography with the 2018 Ford Ranger

I recently had the opportunity to shoot for one of Australia’s leading 4x4 Accessories retailer. Opposite Lock have been around since 1974 and have many stores Australia Wide. The photos of this Ford Ranger are for an upcoming national competition as Opposite Lock are giving the car away. With all the gear on it this vehicle is worth over $75,000 away. This shoot was a bit tricky considering the location in a makeshift car studio which made it very difficult to get the car lit evenly and shoot from all angles as there were hoists and warehouse pallets in the way. In spite of this we managed to work around this and provide the client with the images requested and exceeded the requirements of the brief. Fitted Festival 2019 - Melbourne Airport

Fitted Festival is an outdoor automotive and lifestyle festival that this February was held for the first time in Melbourne at the Airport. Hundreds of modified JDM, Australian and American Muscle cars were on show. I ended up shooting some snaps from the morning rain to the golden sunset. Its always so difficult shooting at car shows as there are always distractions in the background which take away from the car you are shooting. There truly were some amazing cars on hand that i'd love to spend time with for a proper photoshoot.
