Manufacturing Portrait Photography - Grimm Industries
Meeting small business owners and learning about their story and journey is one of the parts i enjoy most about photography. Not only do i get to meet interesting and inspirational characters but i have the chance to create some creative images in their environment. This was the case with Andrew from Grimm Industries, I had the chance to spend an afternoon at his workshop capturing him in his element, welding, grinding and creating.
Andrew takes broken engine blocks and turns them into furniture, art and other metal creations. More of his work can be found on his website https://grimmindustries.com.au/
DJ Portraits - DJ Beatmaster J
Spent some time in the studio capturing images of my friend, talented DJ and Cinematographer Sean AKA Beatmaster Jay for his online profile. We went for dark moody with some coloured gels and haze to spice things up.
Yamaha R1 & Superbike Rider - Studio Portrait Photography
During Melbournes recent Covid Lockdown i decided to try out some of my new Godox soft-boxes and boom arm in the studio. At least lockdown isn't too bad when you have some cool toys in your garage to shoot and a head full of creativity. The only problem I had was no-one to shoot so I set the self timer, the focus and jumped in front of the camera time and time again to get the lighting, smoke and posing right. It took some time but was worth it. Here are some of the final images.
Keep scrolling below for a short behind the scenes video from this shoot.
Have you considered a studio based photoshoot for you and your motorcycle just like this one? Feel free to send an email to alex@fstylephoto.com and we can set up your own man-vs-machine shoot.
Isolation Self Portrait
What to do when you are locked at home, bored and want to test out some lighting setups but don’t have anyone to pose for you? You stand in front of the camera yourself and pull stupid faces and hope for the best.
Historic Sidecar Racers - Promotional Sponsor Portrait Photoshoot
Michelle and Julie are two badass local sidecar racers who compete in the historic P3 class on their hand built Norton Atlas P3 sidecar. I had previously shot this Norton Sidecar for Michelle and husband Tim few years before and was excited when Michelle contacted me again late last year for another shoot.
Below are some of my favourite shots from this shoot. Head over to the Classic Wheels & Spokes, Otway Hydroblasting & Metal Works page to check out Tim and Michelles latest work. Im looking forward to shooting 2 more of their bike builds later this month.
If you or your team are looking for some promotional photographs for yourself or your sponsors get in touch today and let’s chat about making it happen.
