Norton Commando 961 Sport Photoshoot

Promotional photoshoot of the Norton Commando 961

Last week i had the special opportunity to shoot the new Norton Commando 961 Sport MkII for the new Melbourne dealer Benzina Garage. What a beautiful hand built machine this is, the attention to detail and craftsmanship is stunning. In the next few weeks i’m looking forward to taking some more shots of these machines in some different locations around the streets of Melbourne. For now check out the official Norton Australia website or head over to Benzina Garage to check out these sweet machines in person, maybe if you ask nicely enough they will let you take one for a test ride.

Custom Yamaha TRX Photoshoot

Does it get anymore customized than this? I don't think there is one part of this 1996 Yamaha TRX 850 that has not been modified.  It starts with extensive engine work - high comp pistons + flatside carbs and head work - Triumph 675R Ohlins front end and brakes - CBR1000RR rims -Race Centre modified R6 Ohlins rear shock - Custom hand made exhaust - custom subframe - chopped and modified tank - Harley headlight - Ducati Master cylinder. The list goes on and on and is absolutely incredible.

I had the chance to shoot this amazing bike for Johnny Taylor. Jonny is an accomplished road racer who built the bike himself over 4  years. Everything on the bike had a purpose to make it go harder, handle and stop better (plus it also looks sexy).  This bike will be featured in an upcoming issue of RetroBike magazine in October, i'm pretty excited to see my photos in print.

In the mean time you can read more about Johnnys bike over at Return of the Cafe Racer in their writeup on his bike HERE

The Pink Panther- A Classic Citroen DS21

The 1967 Citroen DS21 "Goddess"

Last night i headed out to the docklands to take some shots of this classic car. I got told off by security near the docks for blocking the road so didn't get any shots in front of the container ships or cranes so had to scout for some other places to shoot. One thing i learnt was that shooting multiple exposures on a Citroen DS is hard and needs some planning. As the car slowly sinks back down on it's suspension once it loses hydraulic pressure some of my frames were not aligned. Lesson learnt.  This was a bit of a challenging shoot but i'm still happy with the way the final images turned out.
